Apology Letter For Barking Dogs

The new males

By Amparo Rubiales (El País, January 15, 2010)

Miguel Lorente, in his book named new men New . Fears of equal time ever, argues that the male has concocted new storylines to defend their position of power, and are based on the alleged problems that the entry of women into working life has been, especially in the field of family relations. This new strategy calls it posmachismo, having been born, he says, in the context of postmodernity, and have maintained since its inception a certain distance from the classical positions of machismo or patriarchy.
I think we better call this new way of thinking and new males, because, increasingly, is becoming a new ideology is spreading and is characterized precisely by being afraid to equality. It's a new way to hold the positions macho as ever, but with new discourses and new content.
The new males equate feminism with machismo, trying to create confusion in something that can not have it, because they intend to opposite things: that the primacy of man and that equality between women and men. The difference is so large that it would be worthwhile or explicitly, if only because the new males to confuse, to better maintain their new positions, aimed, as always, to question the rights of women, their autonomy and independence won. No question, say, equality, but if the consequences of their exercise, are against gender violence but expressed with repeated, for example, that there are too many cases of false reports, without adding that, if so, it would committing a crime that must be exposed, as in any other case.
consider equality as a threat, but not for themselves but for social relations, and exacerbated in the most extreme, violence against women. Feminism has always been ridiculed and now, with new forms, it is again with strength. Thus, talk of revenge gender, feminism resentful, dogmatic or radical, with no intention of returning to "demonize."
None say that is against equality, but on the contrary, we argue that women who are making a society with serious problems of coexistence as a direct result of our need to be free and equal. never understood that without freedom there is equality, and that it or is it real or is not equality, and democracy will require both.
Women have always had to achieve things that were born as men, we are relegated to the private world and we've been winning, with many years and force-fields of the public, but always bearing in tow privacy.
We must end all burkas in the world, knowing deal with the same forcefulness to the old arguments and these new males more subtle.
